On the 17th January 2008, four members of Enfield Water Polo Club journeyed to Parliament Hill Lido in Hampstead in preparation for the World Cold Water Swimming Championships on the 24th January 2008. The water temperature was a chilly 4′C but under the guidance of Enfield veteran water polo and swimmer Roy Naisbitt, who has been involved in multiple solo English Channel swim attempts as well as swimming the English Channel as part of a relay team in 2002, a good time was had by all!
