Hi. I am unsure what all comes with the bands for cheerleading. What color comes with it? Also, I see where you can order an extra set of bands, but how do I know what color? I am needing these for my 12 year old daughter to help improve her jumps for cheerleading. She’s 125-130 pounds. Do we still order the youth size? Please help. I need these asap, but am hesitant to order not knowing full details. Also, how long do you take to ship out? Cheer tryouts in 2 months. Thanks.

Yes I agree. The back and shoulders need to be directly or close to direct above your glutes and hips. this is how you generate power and are able to explode upward. if you bend forward and or have weak abs, you are already starting deceleration before you leave the floor.

I JUST got out of practice and half of my jump time is with the bands these days. They DO help. But what I was saying is that for me at least the bands help make you think not resistance in the glute so your legs can fly higher. ABS then come into play by having your shoulders back and stomach tight so your legs can also go in front of you for a more visual aspect of the skill. Thats how I’ve been working it.
if I understand you. by rotate, do you mean bend or try to wind up. higher quality jumps come from being strong enough to explode off the floor in a naturanl position. the bands create muscle memory the first couple of time you use them , but you will start to develop core strength which basically replaces the muscles memory as real muscle development. you should do the jumps with and without the bands you you will improve greatly.
Don’t think rotate so much, it confused me when I was trying to get mine hyper-extended. Think more that you wanna lift your legs with your ABS. Don’t squeeze your butt when your doing it and that’ll let your legs fly higher. some bands like these will also create muscule memory, so you will always try harder if you practice with these every practice just as much without them.

this helped me ALOT!
you can look at this video and some other we have and work on the drills shown to help build strength in your hips, things, hams strings and gluteus. building strength will help with your jumps.
Is there anything i can use as a subsitution for the Kinetic bands? They look really helpful but i dont have $50 to spare on these.
